Return and refund policy
In accordance with the provisions of Article L.121-21 of the French Consumer Code, the Customer has a period of thirty days from the date of delivery of the products to exercise their right of withdrawal (refund), without having to provide any reason.
This right of withdrawal may be exercised provided that the returned products meet all of the following criteria:
- have not been damaged
- have not been worn
- are returned in their original packaging
- are complete and in the same condition as when they were delivered.
To prevent products from being damaged during return transit, we invite you to protect them properly by returning them in their original box. Otherwise, your refund will be refused.
Return shipping is free in the case of an exchange of your order or a partial return of your order. The item will be exchanged subject to available stock. For a second exchange, return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility.
If you request a refund for the entire order, return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility. The return cost will then be deducted at the time of refund.
The costs are as follows:
- France, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Portugal: €5
- Rest of Europe: €10
- All other countries: €15
1. RETURN PROCEDURE
For orders returned from France, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Spain, and Portugal:
- The right of withdrawal is exercised using the Place du Jour returns portal: Returns Portal.
- Provide your order number and the email address used when placing the order
- Select the items you wish to return or exchange
- Get the request details and print the return label
- Stick the label on the parcel, then simply drop it off at your post office or a Chronopost pickup point (list available here: Chronopost pickup point)
You can track your return parcel using the tracking number provided on the return slip. Your return will be processed (inspection and refund) within 24 to 72 business hours of receiving your return parcel.
Returns from other countries must be requested by email to contact@placedujour.fr, stating the order number. The return process will then be sent to you; the parcel must be stamped by the customer, who will bear the shipping costs.
2. REFUND FOLLOWING A RETURN
In the event of a full return of the order, NEW 2000 will fully refund the order, minus return shipping costs.
Once your parcel is received, your refund will be processed within 5 to 7 business days. You will be notified by email.
The refund will be made using the payment method used when placing the order.
Please note that if you return products that were part of a promotional offer including a free gift, you may keep the gift, but its value will be deducted from your refund.
3. YOU RECEIVED YOUR ITEM BUT IT ARRIVED DAMAGED
Your parcel may get jostled during delivery, and your item may arrive broken.
In this case, or in the case of a manufacturing defect, send us an email at contact@placedujour.fr with the following details:
- Your order number
- A description of the problem (wrong item / defective item, etc.)
- A photo or video
You will not need to send the product back and we will refund the amount of your order directly.
