ORDER & PAYMENT

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept payments by Visa and MasterCard credit cards.

We offer you the option to save your payment information when placing your order. This will make it easier to place your future orders.

Are payments secure?

When you make a purchase, our payment partner Shopify stores your credit card information. This information is encrypted according to the data security standard established by the payment card industry (PCI-DSS standard). Information related to your purchase transaction is kept for as long as necessary to complete your order. Once your order is complete, the information related to the purchase transaction is deleted.

All direct payment gateways comply with the PCI-DSS standard, managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is the result of a joint effort by companies such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

The requirements of the PCI-DSS standard help ensure the secure processing of credit card data by our store and its service providers.

Your banking information is never in our possession, even if you choose to save your payment details to make your purchases easier.

Your transactions are always processed through the secure payment module of our partner Shopify.

How do I cancel or modify my order?

Cancellation

To guarantee you the best delivery times, we prepare and ship your order within hours of your cart being confirmed. As a result, we're unfortunately unable to cancel your order once it has been confirmed.


Modification

It's not possible to modify the contents of an order. We invite you to return your items once you've received them by requesting a return from the following page: Start a return

Did my order go through?

Once your order is confirmed, we send you a confirmation email with your order number and a summary of your cart.

You can also find your order details in your My Account > My Orders area.

Haven't received the summary within an hour? Be sure to check your spam folder, the email sometimes ends up there.

Otherwise write to us, and we'll check the status of your order with you.

SHIPPING

What are the shipping times?

Place du Jour ships orders within 24 hours (business days), and delivery time then depends on our carrier.

Delivery times are the sole responsibility of the carriers, and Place du Jour cannot be held liable in the event these times aren't met.

For reference:

  • Mainland France: 2 to 4 days
  • Rest of the world: 3 to 15 days

What are the shipping costs?

Mainland France

  • Mondial Relay Pickup Point (2 to 3 business days): Free with no minimum purchase
  • Colissimo Home Delivery with signature (2 to 3 business days): Free for any order over 80 €, otherwise 5 €.
  • Chronopost Home Delivery (1 to 2 business days): 10€ for any order



European Union

  • Colissimo Home Delivery with signature EU: 10€ for any order under 99€, 2 to 5 business days
  • DHL Express Worldwide EU: 20€ for any order, 1 to 3 business days



Other destinations

  • DHL Express Worldwide: 40€ for any order (2 to 5 business days)


Please note: customs fees may apply upon receipt of the package. These fees are the buyer's responsibility.

These delivery times may be extended by an additional 48 to 72 hours during special periods (sales, private sales, holiday season).

How do I track my order?

To track the delivery status of your order, go to your My Account > My Orders.

Click on the relevant order number, then on "track my order" or "track my package."

Order preparation time can vary between 1 and 2 business days. Then, the delivery time (indicated when placing your order) applies once the order has shipped.

My package wasn't delivered to the pickup point I chose, what should I do?

When your chosen pickup point isn't available, is overloaded, or is exceptionally closed, the carrier is required to deliver your package to another pickup point.

Unfortunately, we're no longer able to change the pickup location for your package once the carrier has dropped it off. If you can't collect it, the package will automatically be returned to us.

If the package is returned to our Workshop, we can reship it to you if you'd like. You'll then receive an automatic email offering to reship it at no additional cost to the address of your choice.

Otherwise, we'll refund you within 7 business days of our logistics workshop receiving your package.

My package was returned to the sender, what should I do?

You were notified by email that your order was returned to our Store.

You can choose one of these two options:

  • Refund: without any message from you, we'll automatically refund you within 7 business days of your order being received at our Workshop.

  • Reshipping at no additional cost: write to us at contact@placedujour.fr within 24 hours of receiving the notification, confirming your delivery details (first name, last name, address, phone number, email, and order number).

    We'll then send you a confirmation that we've received your request. However, you'll need to wait a few days to receive your new shipping number from us, the time it takes for us to receive your returned package and prepare the reshipment.

RETURNS AND REFUNDS

What conditions must be met to make a return?

You have fourteen days from the delivery date of the products to exercise your right of withdrawal (refund).

This right of withdrawal can be exercised provided that the returned products meet all of the following criteria:

  • have not been damaged
  • have not been worn
  • are returned in their original packaging
  • are complete and in the same condition as when they were delivered


To prevent the products from being damaged during return transit, please protect them well by returning them in their original box or a rigid box. Otherwise, your refund will be refused.

Return shipping is free in the case of an exchange or a partial return of your order.

The item will be exchanged subject to available stock. For a second exchange, return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility.

In the case of a refund request for the entire order, return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility. The return cost will then be deducted from the refund amount.

Returns can be made up to 14 days from the delivery date

How do I make a return?

Within Mainland France

1. Go to your Account:

  • Log in to Placedujour.fr to request your return in the customer account area My Account > My Orders.
  • Click on "Request a return" and choose the item to return to us along with a reason.


2. Once this information is entered, the return request will be submitted for internal approval

3. Once approved, you'll receive a Colissimo return label to print and stick on the return package.

4. All you'll have left to do is drop it off at the pickup point near you


(please note that the 5€ return fee will be deducted from your refund if you're returning from France, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, or Portugal.)

Returns from other countries must be requested by email at contact@placedujour.fr, stating the order number. The return process will then be sent to you; the package must be paid for by the customer and the costs will be their responsibility.

I didn't receive what I ordered, what should I do?

If the item you received doesn't match what you ordered, please contact us directly here with your order number, photos of the item received, the tag attached to the item, and the one stuck on the package.

If an item is missing from your package, write to us here with the name of the missing item, the order number, and the label stuck on the package.

We'll then find the best solution for you as quickly as possible.

My item seems defective, what should I do?

To have it looked at, please contact us by clicking here, attaching photos of your item and the attached tag, along with your order number.

We'll then send you a return label very quickly.

When will I receive my refund?

Once the package is received at our workshop, your refund will be processed within 2 to 5 business days*.

Allow up to about 10 calendar days from receipt of the return package for the refund to be completed.

You'll receive a first email confirming that your package has been received at the workshop, then a second one once the refund has been issued.

We're sorry your item is no longer available.

We do everything we can to anticipate what you're looking for, so everyone can find something they love on the site.

This is because our Collections are designed in limited editions, to avoid overproduction.

How do I create a customer account?

To create an account, nothing could be simpler:

  1. Click the Account icon at the top right of the homepage on your computer, or in the menu on your mobile phone.

  2. Enter your email address on the sign-in page

  3. As soon as your registration is confirmed, you'll receive a confirmation email with a unique 6-digit login code to enter on the sign-in page

How do I sign in to my customer account?

To sign in to your Place du Jour account, click the Account icon at the top right of the homepage on your computer, or in the menu on your mobile.

Enter your email address and the login code you received by email.

How do I edit or update my information?

To edit your personal information, such as your phone number and addresses:

  1. First, sign in to your Account : at the top right of the homepage on your computer, or in the menu on your mobile

  2. From your customer area, click the icon with your initials

  3. Then click Profile : You can now edit all the available information directly in each section, then click save
