THE BEGINNINGS
Welcome to Place du Jour, a family story that began in 1989 and has continued for three generations.
In the heart of Paris, in the Marais district, we set up our first workshop, marking the start of our story in the world of fashion.
It was in leather goods that we took our first steps; bags, belts, wallets, and other fashion accessories were the first pieces of our journey.
Later, we developed our expertise in textiles by manufacturing products for major French clothing brands.
In 1997, inspired by our journey and our know-how, we gave birth to Place du Jour.
This brand embodies our commitment to women's fashion, with a particular focus on jeans, a true cornerstone of our collection.

HOW ARE JEANS MADE?
A detailed explanation of our creation process
1. Designing the styles
We start by designing the styles and cuts of the jeans.
Every style is thought out and created in France, drawing on fashion trends and our customers' needs.
2. Pattern-making
We turn these ideas into precise patterns, which serve as a guide when cutting the fabric
3. Choosing the fabric
The choice of fabric and weave is crucial, as it determines the comfort, durability, and look of the jeans.
We carefully select quality fabrics and the weave best suited to each style.
4. Assembly
First, the denim fabric is cut according to the patterns, then each piece is assembled by hand.
This process requires artisanal expertise to ensure the strength and quality of the jeans.
5. Wash (Stone Wash)
The wash gives the jeans their final look. We use the "Stone Wash" method, a technique that uses pumice stone to create fading and aging effects.
